I was able to sponsor GovCamp for the first time this year. It was great to contribute to the event which has been one of my favourites for ten of the last 11 years (I missed out on UKGCX due to the flu).
My contribution was a drop in the ocean compared to the Platinum sponsors but you have to start somewhere.
The event is an incredible opportunity for people who care about the public sector to come together *on a Saturday* to learn from each other, to find people who know about something or care about the same thing as you do. It is the biggest thing which gives me energy and the January timing is genius.
This year was particularly affecting as one of our number, Vicky Teinaki, died recently and so it was a really helpful coming together of the community to celebrate her.
