Can be delivered in person or remote - 60 minutes. Please contact me for further details.

Neurodiversity is a word used to explain the unique ways people's brains work. While everyone's brain develops similarly, no two brains function just alike. Being neurodivergent means having a brain that works differently from the average or "neurotypical" person. This can include conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and many others. And while these differences may present challenges in a traditional work environment, they also bring strengths and perspectives that can greatly benefit a team.

At the end of the talk you will have:

A better understanding of neurodiversity and its importance in the workplace - what neurodiversity is and why it is crucial for organisations to embrace it. This will help attendees gain a deeper understanding of the topic and its relevance in the workplace.

Strategies for creating a more inclusive and supportive work culture, we will discuss the challenges that neurodivergent individuals may face in a traditional work environment and practical strategies for creating a more inclusive and supportive culture. This will help attendees understand how they can contribute to creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace.

Insight into the benefits of including neurodivergent team members: The talk will discuss how the inclusion of neurodivergent individuals can lead to increased creativity, problem-solving, and innovation in the workplace. Attendees will learn about the tangible benefits that organisations can experience by embracing neurodiversity.

The talk will provide attendees with actionable steps that they can take to promote neurodiversity in their organisation. This will help them understand how they can actively contribute to creating a more diverse and successful team dynamic.

Liberating Structures: Ecocycle for Teams - A Framework for Continuous Improvement and Growth

Agile teams need to learn from their experiences and adapt to achieve continuous improvement and growth. The Ecocycle framework can help teams identify and work through different project stages, understand their current stage, and identify what is working and what is not. The conference session covers the framework's application and participants will have the opportunity to apply it to their own projects gaining practical tools for implementation. The session includes presentations, discussions, and practical exercises.

Agile teams face unique challenges when it comes to continuous improvement and growth. While agile methodologies provide a solid foundation for iterative development, they often fall short in addressing the need for team members to learn from their experiences and adapt accordingly. This is where the Ecocycle framework can provide a powerful tool for agile teams.

Ecocycle is a liberating structure that helps teams identify and work through the different stages of a project or initiative. It helps teams understand the natural progression of any initiative, from birth to maturity, and provides a structure for teams to identify what's working, what's not, and what needs to be done to keep the initiative moving forward. By applying this framework to agile teams, we can help teams address their unique challenges in a way that promotes continuous improvement and growth.

This conference session will provide an overview of the Ecocycle framework and how it can be applied to agile teams. We will explore the different stages of the framework, from birth to maturity, and discuss how teams can use this framework to identify their current stage, and what they need to do to move to the next stage. We will also discuss how Ecocycle can be used to promote team learning and growth, and how it can help teams identify areas where they need to focus their efforts.

The session will include a mix of presentation, discussion, and practical exercises. Participants will have the opportunity to apply the Ecocycle framework to their own teams and projects, and to share their experiences with others. By the end of the session, participants will have a clear understanding of how Ecocycle can be used to promote continuous improvement and growth in agile teams, and will have practical tools and techniques they can use to apply the framework in their own work.

Key takeaways:

An understanding of the Ecocycle framework and how it can be applied to agile teams
Tools and techniques for applying Ecocycle in your own work
Practical tips for promoting continuous improvement and growth in agile teams
