I have attended the excellent Camp Digital conference in Manchester many times (I think seven all together). I sponsored the conference this time. I had a stand which was in a great position at the top of the stairs as people came up for refreshments and lunch.
I live in Dorset now, so we drove up on Wednesday to stay in Leeds near family and I braved the trains from Leeds on the morning of the event.

I had an entry on the website partners page:

I had some great conversations with people who were very interested in talking about neurodivergence, workshops and 1:1 & team coaching. In my experience, a high proportion of people attracted to work in change have some aspects of neurodivergence. Lots of us are attracted to creative and VUCA environments. Lots are also attracted to the public and 3rd sectors.
I got to see two sessions, I couldn’t miss Jukesie talking about The Power, peril and privilege of working in the open. I have seen him speak about working in the open quite a few times at Service Design in Government, and various GovCamp conversations. This one was pitched differently. It was more personal and he talked about the impact of being open. It was a great talk and you should catch it when the videos are released. Here is where you can find the videos from previous years and I would expect that the ones from this year will appear soon.
Matt had a lovely slide with a list of people who inspired and supported him including Vicky Teinaki 💙.

The other session I saw was the excellent 300 seconds with Sharon O’Dea and six brilliant new speakers. There was at least three who talked about things I don’t know much about and found really interesting and they were all great on stage.

Lunch was really good and I managed to only have two pieces of the excellent lemon drizzle cake.
I had to make a quick exit to get back before the park and ride bus service finished, (which I failed to do thanks Northern Rail) but I did manage to catch up with James and Dave (in what Dave termed a Bougie coffee place) in the morning.

I had intended to catch up with so many people but it was such a busy day that most of my interactions were a quick wave or hug.
Thanks everyone who came up to chat and I look forward to seeing people soon.
